About Comptia A+ Certification: For those who are new to the A+ certification, it’s a leading vendor neutral certification in the area of computer hardware and operating systems, offered by Comptia organization. The certification is divided into two constituent exams, namely A+ Essentials exam, and A+ Practical Application exam. One needs to pass both the exams to attain A+ Certification, and it’s valid for 3 years. A certified pro is expected to renew the certification by the end of 3 years. The topics covered by the certification exam include computer hardware like processors, memory devices, interfaces & connectors, computer peripherals like printers and scanners, computer operating systems (primarily Windows is covered), and troubleshooting hardware and OS problems. The certification is available via Prometric/View testing centers worldwide.

Initially, the old CompTIA A+ 220-902exams were to be termed obsolete, though not its knowledge, on 31st January 2019. Despite that, there has been a change in that. As of now, these exams will be available until 31st July 2019. Therefore, until that day, the new CompTIA A+ 220-902exams (220-1001 and 220-1002) will not be the only CompTIA A+ 220-902certification exams.

It tests the ability of a person to think critically every time you are approaching a problem. It ensures that the individual who has received the certification can interpret codes to tell if they will do good or bad. Other new fields that are checked in the exams are network protocols & connectivity, virtualization, cloud computing,cybersecurity and Internet of Things among others.
